Insensitive

What is insensitive? Insensitive is merely showing or feeling no concern for others' feelings, does not recognize or understand the feelings of others and makes comments that are mean or hurtful. Do you have that kind of character? As for me well sometimes i am like that but i don't do it intentionally, being insensitive actually hurt other people's feelings without knowing it.. I am trying to avoid  that kind of attitude, as much as possible i want to gain more friends and not to be anyone's enemy just because i am insensitive.

Life as we find it, is too hard for us: it brings us too many pains, disappointments and impossible tasks. In order to bear it, we cannot dispense with palliative measures…There are three such measures: powerful deflections, which cause us to make light of our misery; substitute satisfactions, which diminish it; and intoxicating substances which make us insensitive to it.
