The Summer Heat Is On

Summer is my most favorite part of the year. Summer means long vacation, beautiful sunny weather, family trips and beach days! It is when people go places and looking for fun ways to cool down as the sun goes-a-sizzling.  But BE SAFE - wherever you wish to be or whatever plans you have.This summer we are going to Boracay I'm very much excited because it is a family trip gonna spend some time with them...

Here are some water and travel tips for you guys:

WATER:
Most basic tip: Learn To swim!!!

*Swim with a buddy, never swim alone;
*Swim in supervised areas only;
*Don't mix alcohol with water. Meaning, don't swim drunk. Alcohol impairs judgment, balance and coordination; affects swimming skills; and reduces the body's ability to stay warm;
*Pay Attention to local weather and conditions and forecasts. Stop Swimming at the first indication of bad weather because water conducts electricity.

TRAVEL:
The road to safe traveling requires simple precautions.

*Be sure to have a thorough safety inspections of your vehicle by a certified mechanic before you hit the road;
*When on the road, make sure you have enough time  in your travel schedule to allow for breaks every few hours;
*Don't use mobile phones while driving;
*Buckle up seatbelts;
*Put your child on the back seat. it is the safest side in case of a head-on crash;
*Keep supplies with you such as water, first-aid kit. snacks and medicines;
*Rest well before the scheduled trip;
*Say a prayer before leaving..

Have a wonderful summer everyone....

Feel Great

I feel great today, finally my mom and I are ok already. We had a fight since Monday and we are not talking to each other and it bothers me lot. I need to lower my pride it doesn't matter whose at fault she is my mother and I have no right to be mad at her.. I love my mom very much she took care of me since the day I was born and if not because of her I am not here in this world..

Thank you mom for the life, love, understanding, care and patience you had given me I owe it everything to you.

Sorry if I cause you pain though sometimes I am hard headed and not following your advises I know that what you are saying to me is for my own good and I really appreciate it a lot because oftentimes you are right...

Family

My family is my life, they are my strength..They are the one cheering me up when i feel down, when im hurt and make me laugh when im sad.. My family helps me in shaping my life. They teach me the value of love, affection, care, truthfulness and self-confidence and provides us tools and suggestions which are necessary to get success in life. Family is a place where you can be yourself. It is a place where you are accepted for what you are. This is where you are completely tension free and everyone is there to help you. Family encourages you when you are surrounded by problems. It helps you survive through tough times and bring joy and happiness into life.Family brings out the best and worst in each one of us. Our life is not complete without them.

Our family is our own supporters,nobody cares more about us than the members of our families. Even if we made mistakes they are still there never turn us down, they catch us when we fall and teach us to stand up again..

Love your family and never take them for granted, find time to bond with them and never forget to say u love them...

10 Tips to Make Reading Fun for Your Child

Did you know that simply reading to your child is one of the best things you can do for his or her education? It’s much more valuable than just as a bedtime sleep inducer! Reading aloud to children does the following:
  • Helps them hear language in new and different ways.
  • Gives them a sense of story.
  • Leads to better performance in reading, writing, listening, and other school subjects, according to researchers.
  • Creates a bond between the reader and the child, facilitating a special memory association between reading and a happy experience.
  • Turns many children into life-long readers. And a life-long reader is a life-long learner!
10 tips to get the most out of your reading time
1. Read every day, even if you only have a few minutes. This models that daily reading is an important part of each day. Children also love a pleasant routine. They will look forward to this special time.
2. Create a cozy place to read together. It can be a special chair, or even a pile of pillows.
3. Let your child help you choose what book to read. This will help you keep the child’s interest, and it makes him feel important. Visiting a library regularly makes choosing books easy and fun.
4. Talk about the cover. Have your child guess what the book is about. Who are the characters? What is the title? Who is the author? Have you read books by this author before? Have you seen this illustrator before?
5. Change your voice to go with the characters and the action. You don’t have to be an actor, but you can at least change your inflection for a livelier storytelling experience. Make sure you don’t read too quickly, too. You don’t want to sound like you’re rushing to finish.
6. Show the pictures as you read. Not only do the pictures help a child understand and connect to the book, the illustrations often add humor and whimsy to fiction.
7. After you read the book, talk about the story. Go back and look at the pictures again and talk about what happened. Point out any hard words to see if your child can figure out what they mean by looking at the surrounding words and pictures.
8. Try to make connections to something in the story and your life or the child’s life.
9. Be sure to prompt your child to critique the book. Ask questions such as, What did you like? What did you dislike? What made you laugh? What did you learn?
10. Vary the genres that you read. Mix fiction and nonfiction. A child’s future favorite book might be in a genre he or she has not yet experienced!
